Q1.) Can I extend my hire?

We are always happy to extend the hire if we can, but the hirer must ring before the hire ends. It is essential that all vehicles are brought back on time. The hire period is for a 24 hour period commencing at either 8.00 am or 17:00 pm.

Q2.) What licence will i need to bring?

Hirer's must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 24 months. Please check all endorsements with our office when booking as some endorsements are not acceptable. New UK licences are issued in two parts and both must be produced.

Q3.) What age can i hire a vehicle?

Drivers aged between 25-70 yrs with a clean licence are accepted. To drive a 7.5 tonne truck you must have passed your test prior to 1/01/1997 (category C1 on your license confirms this entitlement). If you have passed your test since then, you will be restricted by law to just 3.5 tonnes.

Q4.) With regards to the fuel how should I return the vehicle?

We operate a “like for like” fuel policy. We request that vehicles are, wherever possible, returned on the same level.. Any refuelling will be charged at £1.65 per litre + VAT.

Q5.) Will I be insured to use your vehicle?

All prices quoted include fully comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover. There is an excess on all vehicles covered on our own insurance which varies between the different sizes (overhead damage liability is unlimited). Please see the specifics of the vehicle you intend to hire to obtain the accurate information on the insurance excess.

Q6.) What Identification do you require?

We require a current driving license (2 parts if a new style license), a credit or debit card for payment and one other form of ID (i.e. utility bill/passport).

Q7.) How can i pay for the rental?

Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro, Delta are all acceptable. I’m sorry but we do not accept Cash or Cheque. Account facilities are available for corporate customers subject to credit checks.

Q8.) How long can i rent a vehicle for?

We can quote on any length of hire you require, but the minimum charge is a day’s rental

Q9.) Can i have an additional driver on the rental?

Additional drivers are available at a cost of £10 each (3 drivers maximum allowed if the vehicle is covered on our insurance). Additional drivers MUST complete a proposal form and produce their licence in person.
